Academy of Surgical Research
Founded in 1982, the Academy of Surgical Research promotes the advancement of professional and academic standards, education and research in the arts and sciences of experimental surgery. The Academy interfaces with medical and scientific organizations, and governmental agencies in establishing and reviewing ethics, theories, practices and research pertaining to surgery and promotion of the results for clinical application.
American Association for Laboratory Animal Science
The American Association for Laboratory Animal Science (AALAS), a 501(c)3 nonprofit membership association, is the premier forum for the exchange of information and expertise in the care and use of laboratory animals. Since 1950, we've been dedicated to the humane care and treatment of laboratory animals and the quality research that leads to scientific gains that benefit people and animals. American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics
The American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics (ASPET) is a 4,800 member scientific society whose members conduct basic and clinical pharmacological research in academia, industry and the government. Our members research efforts help develop new medicines and therapeutic agents to fight existing and emerging diseases.
British Pharmacological Society
We are the primary UK learned society concerned with research into drugs and the way they work. Our members work in academia, industry and the health services, and many are medically qualified. The Society covers the whole spectrum of pharmacology, including the laboratory, clinical and toxicological aspects.

Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology
Founded in 1912 by three societies, the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology (FASEB) advances biological sciences through collaborative advocacy for research policies that promote scientific progress and education and lead to improvements in human health. The strength of FASEB comes from the Member Societies and the individuals who belong to these organizations. In Washington, FASEB is the voice of scientists in biology and is the primary liaison between the biomedical research community and the federal government.
International Union of Pharmacology
Founded in 1959 as a section of the International Union of Physiological Sciences, the International Union of Pharmacology (IUPHAR) has been independent since 1966. The name was changed to the International Union of Basic and Clinical Pharmacology in 2006 to better reflect the composition of the membership. IUPHAR is a voluntary, non-profit association representing the interests of pharmacologists around the world. According to its statutes, IUPHAR has Full Members (i.e. national societies), Associate Members, Benefactors, and Corporate Members.
Society for Neuroscience
